About The Rodi Company

Rodi Rosensweig launched The Rodi Company, a public relations consulting firm, in April 1995, working with large and small businesses and non-profit organizations. Her services include strategic image building and awareness campaigns; traditional media and publicity outreach; grassroots, local and national campaigns; media training; and business development.

Among her clients: ABC Television; M·A·C; L'Oréal; Procter & Gamble; Music Together; Born Free USA and The Born Free Foundation (U.K.); The Humane Society of the United States; The World Society for the Protection of Animals; Incarnation Children's Center; "Guiding Light"; "As The World Turns"; Disney's "Little Einsteins"; Newtown Service Dogs; The New York Children's Theater Festival; Dr. Alicia Zalka (dermatologist); Dr. Paul Donahue (child psychologist); Dr. Lauren Saler (psychologist); Dr. Stacey Rosenfeld (eating disorder specialist); books including "The Big Book of Hugs" and "Parenting Without Fear"; and actors including Emmy Award-winning television actress Julia Barr and Tony Award-nominated actor/producer John Tartaglia.

She has garnered national and local media exposure for her clients with placements in hundreds of media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, USA Today, Associated Press, Good Housekeeping, National Geographic, The Today Show, CNN, ABC News, Huffington Post, and many more.

Prior to starting her own business, she was the Director of Media Relations for ABC Television where she oversaw publicity and talent relations for ABC's daytime programs including "All My Children," "One Life To Live," and "General Hospital." In addition to working closely with ABC stars like Kelly Ripa, Susan Lucci, Nathan Fillion, Michael Weatherly, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Ricky Martin, she also worked with many celebrity guest stars including Rosie O'Donnell and Tony Bennett, and dozens of professional sports teams and politicians. She was in charge of publicity for "The Daytime Emmy Awards," "All My Children's 25th Anniversary Primetime Show with Carol Burnett," and numerous ABC movies. Prior to overseeing that department, she was the press representative for "One Life to Live" and "Loving."

Before ABC, Rodi was a senior publicist at Showtime, where she publicized original productions starring Tommy Lee Jones, Sharon Stone, Shelley Duvall, Garry Shandling, Robin Williams and Virginia Madsen, to name a few. One of her favorite experiences at Showtime was promoting "Dionne Warwick's That's What Friends Are For" from The Kennedy Center featuring Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight, which was one of the first benefit concerts ever to raise awareness for AIDS.

Prior, she held various positions publicizing theatre companies, non-profit organizations, and consumer/lifestyle products. Her first job was at Paramount Pictures, where she was an assistant in the publicity department working on such films as "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Beverly Hills Cop," "Footloose" and "Witness."

As a professor, Rodi has designed and taught PR courses at Sacred Heart University, New York University, University of Hartford, and The City College of The City University of New York.

She holds a Master of Science degree in communications and public relations from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is based in Connecticut and her clients are located around the globe.
