Tent Revivals
It was a scene that took place over and over throughout the country in the early part of the 20th Century. A caravan of trucks would arrive on the outskirts of a town, looking for a large clearing to set up shop. A company manager would come ahead to secure the permits needed followed by the preacher and his religious entourage. The group would unload the equipment, erect the tent and spread out among the nearby townsfolk to extol the holy benefits of attending the upcoming revival.Excitement would build as the moments passed until the day of the revival.
On revival day, the townspeople would make their way towards the colossal tent, bringing their sick relatives for the opportunity to have the preacher lay his holy hands upon them for relief or even better, a full cure.
